Release time:2023.12.02
1. Unplug the power plug, remove the bucket, and open the sewage pipe at the back of the water dispenser (usually a white plastic knob) to drain the remaining water. Then, turn on the hot and cold water switch to release the water.
In this link, the most noteworthy thing is: the sewage outlet of the vertical water dispenser is usually located at the back of the machine, while the desktop water dispenser is located at the bottom of the machine. The user has to pick up the desktop water dispenser to see it.
2. Rotate counterclockwise, remove the "smart seat" (the part of the water dispenser that contacts the spring water bucket), and carefully scrub the inside and outside of the water dispenser liner and lid with alcohol cotton to prepare for the next step of disinfection.
3. Follow the instructions for decontamination effervescent tablets or disinfectants to prepare disinfectant water (decontamination effervescent tablets and special disinfectants are available in supermarkets and are not expensive), introduce them into the water dispenser, fill the entire cavity with disinfectant water, and leave it there. 10-15 minutes.
It is worth noting at this stage: If you do not have decontamination effervescent tablets, disinfectant or disinfectant water, you can boil a pot of hot water, pour the hot water into the water dispenser, and leave it for 10-15 minutes. The purpose of this method is to use high temperatures to eliminate bacteria.
4. Turn on all switches of the water dispenser, including the sewage pipe and drinking water switch, and drain the disinfectant or boiling water. To ensure that the disinfectant is drained cleanly, try to rinse it several times with boiling or purified water.
5. After rinsing several times, tilt the water dispenser backward to drain out any liquid that was accidentally dripped during the cleaning process, and wipe the outside and back of the machine with a dry rag.
6. After the water dispenser is cleaned, there may still be a trace amount of water dispenser cleaning fluid remaining, so it cannot be drunk immediately. You should drain the water first until the discharged water has no chlorine smell before you can drink it with confidence.
